Khateeb & Imam

Our mosque is honored to be led by a dedicated and qualified Islamic scholar who guides the congregation with both knowledge and sincerity.

Khateeb & Imam: Shaykh Dr. Ubaid Ur Rahman serves as the resident Khateeb and Imam of Masjid Saad bin Abi Waqqas. He completed his doctorate in Tafseer from the Islamic University of Madinah and previously served as a teacher at Al-Masjid an-Nabawi. Specializing in Tafseer, he delivers impactful Jumu’ah sermons on relevant and thought-provoking topics. He also leads the five daily prayers and actively engages with the community through personal guidance, Islamic Q&A sessions, and spiritual mentorship.

Four-Year Shahadah Al-Thanawiyyah Program

A structured four-year course aligned with the Islamic University of Madinah’s syllabus, combining Islamic sciences with modern education. This program is open to students after middle school, allowing them to begin their journey in religious learning alongside academic development.

Second Phase – Faculty of Shariah

The university’s second phase features the Faculty of Shariah, offering advanced study in Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, and Hadith Sciences. It addresses contemporary challenges by incorporating subjects like refutation of atheism, defense of hadith, Islamic commerce, and halal food systems.

Academic Affiliation

Affiliated with the Karachi Intermediate Education Board, the university offers Intermediate in Computer Science (I.C.S.), taught by qualified faculty in a well-equipped, learning-friendly environment.

Holistic Development

Al-Bayaan enhances the student experience through extracurricular activities such as Hadith memorization, speech competitions, and other character-building engagements.

Madrassah Al-Bayan (DHA Campus)

 

  • Hifz Program: A structured Quran memorization program with tajweed, discipline, and mentoring.
  • Nazra Program: Designed for younger students, this program focuses on building fluency and accuracy in Qur’anic recitation.
  • Fast Track for Huffaz: A focused support program designed to help students who have already memorized the Qur’an retain and perfect their hifz, while simultaneously integrating essential contemporary academic skills.

Events

We organize and host various events throughout the year to promote learning, engagement, and unity:

Workshops & Seminars

Covering a diverse range of topics including Islamic finance, contemporary issues, spirituality, social ethics, prophetic character, and academic training for scholars and Imams.

Halaqat & Weekly Lectures

Regular spiritual and educational gatherings open to the community. These include a weekly lecture every Saturday after Maghrib, a daily Summary of the Quran session after Fajr prayer, and bi-monthly lectures specifically for women, offering dedicated learning opportunities in a comfortable and respectful environment.

Ramadan Activities

Featuring Taraweeh led by qualified reciters, daily Iftar drives, and a series of special lectures delivered by experienced scholars, particularly during the spiritually significant last ten nights of Ramadan.

Eid Gathering

Well-organized programs for Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha, featuring congregational Eid Salah held at the nearby Nisar Shaheed Park.
